I know it has been such a long time since there was any news about the band. Trust me over the next few weeks there will be lots of news.
To start with Cornerstone has just re-signed their deal with Massacre. "We are happy to announce we renegotiated and re-signed our deal with Massacre" says Doogie. The management are still in talks with record companies in Japan. " Our label in Japan is restructuring and could not commit to releasing the new album, so we are looking for another company that will do Two Tales And One Tomorrow the promotion we feel it deserves."
No date has been set for the release but it should be early in 07.

"Two Tales and One Tomorrow" is now mixed and mastered. Steen and Peter have been burning the midnight oil over the last while to have the album ready.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be putting up an edit of a couple of songs to gather your interest.

On the live front Ragnarock in Norway has been cancelled and this is of huge disappointment to the band. The band will be looking at touring when the new album is released. More details to follow. Look out for a couple of competitions over the next few weeks. There will be a signed copy of the original lyrics (mistakes and all) for the song PREY from the new album.

Doogie says " When the music came through I put it on my MP3 player and sat in the garden with a scrap of paper and a biro. It came very quickly as did Mother of Mercy which was done the same way."

Finally the new album is ready to be mixed, on June 23rd we`ll lock our selves up in Media Sound Studios, Copenhagen to finalize the 10 new songs.
In the last couple of weeks Rune and Kasper recorded their missing solo parts.
Also we had some interesting guests on Cello and Violin in the studio to record a nice string arrangement on the track

“Where Were You” Thanks to Soma and Tinne for their struggle in the extreme heat. (find their pictures on the pictures page)

The album is scheduled for an October release ”More details soon” in the meantime be patient and enjoy the summer.

PHP-NukeOf course you want news of the new album and you will have but first off we should say many congratulations to Rune and the lovely Gitte on the birth of their baby daughter born on 30/1/06. All are doing well. Gives Rune a good excuse to hang out in pyjamas!!
The new album is taking shape and Doogie re sung the vocals in London in late January. Steen flew in and recorded the vocals on Doogies protools system.

Steen is now mixing the tracks that were recorded, as well as recording a couple of new tracks with Allan , Kasper and Rune.

"I just felt that I could sing the songs better than I had" says Doogie, " The original takes were good but not good enough. I tweeked the lyrics and melody lines to make them more robust and give them then a more sinister vibe."

We are very pleased with the new Cornerstone album, it really is sounding very aggressive and passionate. The most important thing for us now is to secure a good record deal that will give us the promotion and backing we need to continue to record and get out there and take the music to the people. But just so we are clear, we will never tour in the dead of winter again...As much fun as it was, it was too bloody cold .
